It’s not often the word “zoo” appears on a wedding invitation, but Kelly and Coty Pate made the place look magical!

The journey to their special day began at the Knoxville Zoo on a rainy day when Coty proposed, so it was only fitting that the ceremony took place there on a rainy day in September 2015. Most brides would have been upset about the weather, but not Kelly. She said it fit perfectly with their rainy engagement. With that positive attitude and the couple’s willingness to do any shot I suggested, they ended up with so many great pictures!

Oh and I was more than OK with the fact that the first stop on the wedding day was Starbucks! What better way to start the day than with a sweet jolt of caffeine with all your bridesmaids!?
